LyoBeads are freeze-dried spheres of reagent liquid that contain a specific volume and formula of materials. It is created through a professional precision micro-pump and quick-freezing of the liquid formulation in liquid nitrogen and then freeze drying. The final product is a consistent size stable dry bead ready for long term storage at room temperature.

Application

The main functional components in molecular, biochemical or immunological reagents are usually proteins and enzymes. Through LyoBeads technology, the liquid reagent can be transformed into high-quality, stable, and quantitative freeze-dried spheres and the activity are maintained. The porous structure of LyoBeads further increase surface area and thus allow a high dissolution rate.
